I will try and blog about the allotment as much as I can but, to be honest, not that much happens from week to week.
Yesterday I lifted potatoes from the potato bags and and my onions.
My potato crop was a little poor but Significant Other and I don't that many so hopefully they will last us for a while. We are storing them in hessian bags which I have attached to the wall, see
With onions you have to lift them out of the ground and then leave them on the surface to dry for a couple of days.Unfortunately it rained yesterday afternoon and all of today so they are all wet. I am hoping that tomorrow and Thursday will be more dry otherwise my dining room floor is going to be covered in slightly damp onions.
I have also started picking Kale, both Curly and Black, French and Runner Beans and a few Courgettes, oh and fennel.
